Membership & Tournament Registration


Q: What is included in my MAJGT membership, and what is the membership fee?


A: The MAJGT offers 3 Levels of membership with an array of membership privileges and benefits. See the membership and benefits section to find out which MAJGT Memmbership is right for you.

Q: If I am a member of the IJGA does that mean I am a member of the MAJGT as well?


A: No, there are separate membership fees and requirements for joining the MAJGT and IJGA.  However dual memberships are offered at a discounted rate through the MAJGT.  These dual memberships allow elite junior golfers an opportunity to register for the MAJGT and IJGA at one time.

Q: How are MAJGT Opens, Classics, Invitational, and Mini-Tour event fields selected?


A:

MAJGT Opens, Classics, and Mini-Tour events will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible MAJGT members.  Registration for these events will be available upon MAJGT membership approval.  Membership approval may take up to 24 hours.

Upon registering for an Open, Classic, or Mini-Tour event, if space is available the member will be placed in the field immediately.  Credit cards will be charged upon acceptance into the event.

MAJGT Invitational registration is open to all MAJGT members age 12-18.  All players will be placed in an eligibility pending pool and assigned a category number.  Six weeks prior to the event players will be placed into the event on a first-come, first-served manner as it relates to each category beginning with Category one.

The MAJGT reserves the right to limit the number of MAJGT members and/or cut off membership registration at any time.

Q: What form of payment does the MAJGT accept for Membership and Tournament registrations?


A:

The MAJGT accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover online for all associated fees of the MAJGT.

If the MAJGT is required to reprocess your credit card a $25 processing fee may be assessed to the cardholder.

Your transaction will be on a 128 bit encrypted server provided by our service provider BlueGolf LLP.  This security level provides our customers with the most secure and protected purchasing available on the internet.  Your information is used only for credit card verification purposes. It will never be transferred or sold.

Furthermore, the integrity of every order is ensured by using Verisign, an Internet leader in security transactions. Q: If I do not have a credit card to use through the website, can I still sign up?


A: Yes, please email or call the MAJGT office and the staff will make arrangements to allow you to make payment via cash or check.

Q: What is the MAJGT refund policy?


A: In short, players who have been accepted into a MAJGT sanctioned event and withdraw prior to the closing date of the event will receive their entry fee minus $25 for all Opens, Classics, Mini-Tour events and/or $50 for Invitationals. Closing dates for event registration are one week prior to the start date for all MAJGT Opens, Classic, and Mini-Tour Events and two weeks prior to start dates for all MAJGT Invitational tournaments.

Upon receiving any membership or tournament application an e-mail will automatically be sent acknowledging receipt of the application. Upon acceptance, you will receive another e-mail that will notify you of your acceptance, rejection or wait listing for that particular application.

It may take up to 24 hours for your membership application to be approved, upon acceptance you will be able to register for MAJGT tournaments.

Q: Do I have to be a MAJGT member to register for multiple MAJGT Tournaments?


A: Yes, to register for multiple MAJGT tournaments, juniors must be MAJGT membesr.  Non-members interested in participating in an MAJGT event must contact the office directly to register.  Juniors are only eligible to compete in one (1) MAJGT event as a non-member and registration is subject to availability.
