MAJGT 2012 Schedule Information

Lemont, Ill.—The Mid-American Junior Golf Tour is proud to present the schedule for the 2012 season. This year’s schedule features some new sites as well as stops at some of the Midwest’s favorite courses.
“We are pleased with this schedule and I think the players will have a great time this summer,” said Elisa Gomez, MAJGT manager of tournament operations. “I’m excited to be returning to some great facilities and looking forward to our events at new courses.”
In the spring, the MAJGT kicks off the 2012 season with a return to Sanctuary Golf Course and Green Garden Country Club. The MAJGT will head out East and make its return to Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, OH. The Tour makes its first visit to the North Course at Eagle Ridge Resort in Galena, IL which is also the site of the AJGA’s Junior All-Star at Eagle Ridge event this summer. Registration for these events will open February 1, 2012 11 A.M. CST.
The summer season begins at the University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, MI. The first championship of the 2012 season will be at Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, WI. Geneva National Golf Club features 54-holes of golf designed by Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino. The Tour will stay in Wisconsin and head North to Sheboygan Falls which is home of The Bull at Pinehurst Farms. The Bull is Wisconsin’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course.
Also new to the MAJGT’s schedule is The Course at Aberdeen located in Valparaiso, IN. The MAJGT marks its return to a player favorite, the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex at Purdue University for the second championship of the season. The Junior Patriot Cup will be held just after the Fourth of July in Grand Haven, MI at Grand Haven Golf Club.
Coyote Run Golf Course, Weibring Golf Club and Stone Creek Golf Course all return to the MAJGT schedule for the 2012 season. Glynns Creek Golf Course and the Golf Club of Dublin both make their first appearance on the MAJGT schedule. The final championship of the season will be held at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course, which is also host to the IHSA Class 3A Boys’ State Championship.
October visits to Ruffled Feathers Golf Club and the Donald Ross course at French Lick Resort will close out the 2012 season. Any updates to the schedule and additional can be found at www.majgt.org.
