IJGA Playing Member (Ages 14 - 18)

The Playing Member (PM) division sets the stage for boys and girls ages 14-18 to continue their competitive development while building character and integrity.  This level continues to address the needs of all skill levels - from beginners to state champions.

Members are separated into a 14-15 Junior Division and a 16-18 Senior Division.  At this level, juniors have the opportunity to compete in four different event formats: Regionals, Open events, Championship events/qualifiers, and the Tournament Players Series (TPS).  IJGA Regional and Open events are 18-hole stroke play tournaments intended for juniors to gain additional experience in and comfort with competitive golf.  Special Events with varying formats are also offered.

Playing members also have the chance to earn national recognition in a number of IJGA events.  Points can be earned throughout the season to determine the Player of the Year in both the junior and senior divisions, while also establishing eligibility into the IJGA's nationally-recognized and invitation-only events.  Through TPS events and IJGA Major Championships/qualifiers, elite level juniors are able to gain national status and additional exposure to college coaches.
