FIELD SIZE:
96 players

The latest addition to IJGA programming for junior golfers ages 14-18 is the Playing Member Challenge. This series of two events will replace the previously competed Tournament Player Series (TPS) and will feature one-day, 18-hole rounds at some of the best golf facilities in the Chicago-land area.   These invitation-only events will utilize member’s IJGA-provided USGA Handicap Index to determine eligibility. Registration eligibility will be based on eligible juniors’ Handicap Index as of to-be-determined revision dates (Handicaps update on the 1st and 15th of every month.). The handicap limit for boys will be a 10.0 or less active USGA Handicap Index and for girls will be a 27.0 or less active USGA Handicap Index.  A USGA Handicap Index is arrived at by taking the lowest 10 differentials out of the last 20 rounds posted, however, a handicap can be established with only 5 rounds posted.

Prizes for this series will be awarded based on divisions in both gross and net flights as well the opportunity for juniors to earn an additional Player of the Year (POY) point bonus based on the juniors’ cumulative results over the entire two (2) event series in 2012.  If you are a first-year IJGA member and wish to qualify for this series of events, please forward a golf resume including your previous season's handicap verification information to Director of Playing Member Services Jordan Abdel-Haq at jabdel@ijga.org.  Range balls, lunch, and tee gifts are included in the entry fee.
