CHARLES, Ill. – The Mid-American Junior Golf Tour’s Girls Championship at Royal Hawk CC concluded Tuesday after a weather shortened final round. Sarah Arnold (2019) of St. Charles, Ill., took home her second MAJGT victory in 2018 in the Girls Division. In the College Division, Reilly Krohe of Geneva, Ill., carded a 20-over-par 129 tournament total to take top honors.

The MAJGT Girls Championship was a 27 hole, Stroke Play competition that took place on the par 72 Royal Hawk CC. The field was comprised of 59 female junior golfers ages 12-22 from Florida, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Both divisions played the course from 6,212 yards.

The MAJGT is designed for exceptionally talented junior golfers throughout the Midwest ages 12-18 and is nationally recognized by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and American Junior Golf Association with all of its events providing national exposure.

Arnold carded a 2-over-par 111 tournament total, which included a 1-under-par 36 final round. Her final round included three birdies and her first round included an even-par front nine. This is Arnold’s second MAJGT victory in 2018, the first came at the Golf Club of Illinois Open.

Coming in runner-up was Stephanie Su (2021) of South Barrington, Ill., who carded a 7-over-par 116 total. In third wad Maria Perakis (2021) of Glenview, Ill., who finished the tournament with a 9-over-par 118 total. Finishing in fourth was Penelope Tir (2019) of Winnetka, Ill., who finished with a 10-over-par 119 tournament total. Rounding out the top five was Kait Natividad (2020) of Yorkville, Ill., who finished with a 11-over-par 120 total.

Next the MAJGT heads to Wisconsin for the Kenosha Classic July 2-3.
