IJGA Junior Board

The IJGA Junior Board is a network of active professionals passionate about junior golf and the mission of the IJGA, “Better people through junior golf.”

Junior Board members annually dedicate their professional and financial resources, time and passion to help build awareness to the Illinois Junior Golf Association.

Benefits

The IJGA Junior Board is a group for young professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s from various industries across the Chicagoland area. The Junior Board members will gain experience fundraising for a non-profit, working with a board of directors, planning and attending golf and social events, broadening their social and professional network and giving back to the game that they love.

Yearly Requirements

  • Donate or fundraise $500 annually for the Illinois Junior Golf Association member financial aid program.
  • Seek out fundraising opportunities and promote the Illinois Junior Golf Association at your workplace, and through your personal connections and affiliations.
  • Use your skillset and professional expertise to help the IJGA where you see fit.
  • Advocate for the IJGA and its members.  Be a resource to current and past IJGA members as they look to navigate their way to college and possible internship/full time professional opportunities in their future.
  • Volunteer at 1 or more IJGA events throughout the year.
  • Attend 2 Junior Board meetings annually.

Committees

As the Junior Board grows, the IJGA will explore having committees within the Junior Board to provide more experience to the Junior Board members and also help organize fundraisers, networking events and marketing to possible new members.
