LEMONT, Ill. – The Illinois Junior Golf Association members traveled to Southern California last week to play in the IMG Academy Junior World Championships. Ten IJGA members, five boys and five girls, qualified for the tournament – almost all qualifying at the IJGA DCJC tournament earlier this year.

The Boys 15-17 Division played the par 72 Torrey Pines Golf Course – South Course from 7,212 yards. Daniel Anfield of Channahon, Ill., finished the first three days with a total of 16-over-par 232 before missing the cut. Jackson Bussell of Lincolnshire, Ill., carded a 24-over-par 240 three-day total before also missing the cut. Full Leaderboard

The Boys 13-14 Division played the par 71 Morgan Run Resort and Club – North/South from 6,455 yards. Daniel Tanaka of Wilmette, Ill., carded a 4-under-par 67 final round en route to his 6-over-par 219 three day tournament total, finishing at T41. Full Leaderboard

The Boys 11-12 Division played the par 72 Sycuan Resort – Oak Glen from 6,002 yards. Eli Myers of Northbrook, Ill., finished with a tournament total of 33-over-par 249. Also in this division was Conan Pan of Vernon Hills, Ill., who finished the three-day event at 42-over-par 258. Full Leaderboard

The Girls 15-17 Division played the par 72 La Costa Resort & Spa – Legends Course from 6,028 yards. Alyssa Gromala of Mokena, Ill., carded a 28-over-par 244 during the first three days but missed the cut. Full Leaderboard

The Girls 13-14 Division played The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo as a par 72 from 5,871 yards. Coming in T67, Stephanie Su of South Barrington, Ill., carded a three-day total of 20-over-par 236.  Full Leaderboard

The Girls 11-12 Division played the par 72 Bernardo Heights Country Club from 5,653 yards. Emily Duan of Buffalo Grove, Ill., finished the tournament T35 with a tournament total of 19-over-par 235. Also in this division was Shannyn Vogler of Sherrard, Ill., who finished the tournament with a 26-over-par 242. Full Leaderboard

The Girls 7-8 Division played the par 57 Sycuan Resort – Pine Glen course from 2,413 yards. Lisa Copeland of Naperville, Ill., carded a three-day total of 31-over-par 202. Full Leaderboard
