Why the IJGA Internship: I chose to intern with the Illinois Junior Golf Association because it gives me the opportunity to work directly with junior tournaments and see how competitive golf is run from an operational side. Since I’ve played golf for a long time, I’ve mostly experienced tournaments as a player, but this internship allows me to understand everything that goes on behind the scenes, like tournament setup, pace of play, and player management.

Brogan O’Grady

Why the IJGA Internship: Because it gives me a great opportunity to gain hands on experience in the world of sports. At this point in time I want to gain as much experience as possible so I thought a tournament coordinator would be a great fit for me. This internship also aligns well with my background as I have been a caddy for eight years now.
