CHICAGO – The Mid-American Junior Golf Tour’s Harborside Classic finished Thursday with an impressive final round from the Boys Division champion, Ethan Lee (2018) of Vernon Hills, Ill. The champion in the Girls Division, Grace Curran (2019) of New Lenox, Ill., finished atop the leaderboard for the second time this summer.

The Harborside Classic is a 36 hole, stroke play event contested over two days. The Boys Division played the par 72 course from 6,555 yards, while the Girls Division played from 5,484 yards.

In the Boys Division, Lee carded one eagle, two birdies and 13 pars for a final round 2-under-par 70 for a tournament total of 3-over-par 147. This is Lee’s first win, his best finish coming earlier this year at the Illinois Classic where he came in T4.

In a tie for second were Mulbe Dillard (2017) of Chicago, Ill., and Devin Johnson (2017) of Geneva, Ill., each carding a 5-over-par 149 tournament total. Charlie Van Cleave (2017) of Northbrook, Ill., came in fourth with a two-day total of 6-over-par 150. Rounding out the top 5 was Andrew Abel (2017) of Geneva, Ill., with a tournament total of 7-over-par 151.

In the Girls Division, Curran held on to her first round lead to capture her second MAJGT victory. Five birdies and 21 pars en route to her tournament total of 11-over-par 155.

One shot back from Curran was runner-up Nicole Wetoska (2016) of Glenview, Ill., and rounding out the top 3 was Reese Wilson (2021) of Chicago, Ill., who finished the two days with a 19-over-par 163.

The next stop for the MAJGT is Forest Hills CC for the Classic at Forest Hills, July 18-19.
