DEKALB, Ill. – The Mid-American Junior Golf Association heads to Kishwaukee CC for the Northern Illinois Classic on June 18 – 19. The field features 73 golfers ages 12-22 from Illinois and North Carolina. This event includes a Women’s College Division.
The Boys Division will play the course as a par 70 from 6,325 yards, while both the Girls Division and the College Division will be playing the course as a par 73 from 5,505 yards. Please note that yardages for each round will be based on variable conditions such as weather conditions, course maintenance, etc. If you plan to play a practice round, please keep this in mind and hit multiple tee shots from different tee boxes. This is a Nationally Recognized event, meaning scores will be submitted to Junior Golf Scoreboard.
There are two members of the Class of 2018 in the field, one of which has signed a National Letter of Intent to play golf in college. The field also includes four sets of siblings.
The Kishwaukee Country Club was originally founded in 1901, but was moved to its current location in 1912. Renovations to return the course to its original design began in 2002 with the restoration of the bunkers. In 2010, Kiswaukee CC became the home to the Northern Illinois University Women’s Golf Team.
