LEMONT, Ill. – The Illinois Junior Golf Association and its staff are pleased to welcome Read Langhenry as the new manager of the Mid-American Junior Golf Tour. Read comes to the MAJGT with a strong background in the golf industry, having worked for the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) and the Kansas Golf Association.

“We are very excited for Read to join our staff,” said IJGA Executive Director, Jordan Abdel-Haq. “The MAJGT schedule is set and we are poised to have a great season. We have the utmost confidence that our membership will be pleased with the professionalism that he will bring to the Tour and the level of service he will offer each member and family. He comes to us with good experience in the golf industry and we are thrilled that he will be an integral piece in the continued growth of the MAJGT.”

The 2018 MAJGT season kicks off on April 7-8, at Sanctuary Golf Club in New Lenox, IL.

About the IJGA

The Illinois Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing playing opportunities for its members ages 8-18, and serving as a junior golf informational clearinghouse. During the 2018 season, the IJGA will provide and manage over 145 separate events throughout the state of Illinois.  These include one day 9-hole and 18-hole tournaments, and 36-hole and 54-hole nationally recognized championships.
