In the future I want to have a job in the golf or sports industry and this internship will help prepare me for that in the future. I love the game of golf and everything it has to offer, and I want to have a chance to bring that love for the game to younger ages and help grow the game.

Why the IJGA Internship: I was looking for opportunities for a summer internship and was informed about the position by a former intern who raved about the organization. I love playing/watching golf and spending my summer days outside whenever possible, so I thought where better to spend my summer than learning and working on the golf course!

Why the IJGA Internship: I chose this internship as a way to be a part of this organization again. IJGA gave me so many amazing summers, helped me meet some great people, and had such a positive impact on my life. I’ve played this sport for over half my life and began coaching a few years ago to share my love for it and now I want to work in the sports industry and I believe this internship is the perfect starting point for me!

Why the IJGA Internship: The reason why I chose to work with IJGA over the summer is because I am in love with the game of golf. As I was growing up, and playing in IJGA/MAJGT tournaments, I was able to make good connections with the people that were working the tournaments at that time, and I always wanted to be one of them when I was older. Also, I know that within this internship, I will be able to gain experience in team collaboration as well as take on a position that requires lots of responsibilities, which will help me for my future careers.

Why the IJGA Internship: I chose this internship because I wanted to gain more experience and knowledge working in the golf industry, specifically junior golf. I have had quite a few experiences working at professional golf tournaments, and I felt that it was very important to expand that experience to junior golf tournaments as well to ensure that I am prepared in as many ways as I can be for a career in sports management.

Why the IJGA Internship: I decided to intern for the IJGA for numerous reasons, but I believe it came down to my roots. I have always loved the game of golf for as long as I can remember and inspire to work within the golf industry after I graduate. I believe that this internship provides me the opportunity to work behind the scenes and give insights into the industry I plan to one day pursue. After coaching junior golfers for the past three years, I am eager to play a new role in expanding the sport to a younger field of golfers and hope to inspire junior golfers, like I once was, to continue doing what they love.
