BALTIMORE – Illinois won its fourth straight Big Ten Championship in men’s golf after shooting a three-round score of 836 in the 2018 Big Ten Men’s Golf Championships at Baltimore Country Club. The Fighting Illini, which won their 16th Big Ten title and ninth in the last 10 years, also earned the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Championship.

Illinois’ Nick Hardy, who played in IJGA and MAJGT events during his junior golf days, won the individual Big Ten title, shooting a six-under par 204 (69-68-67). This was Hardy’s second individual Big Ten Championship individual title, his first coming during his freshman year. He will be making his professional debut at the Rust-Oleum Championship, June 7-19, at Ivanhoe Club in Mundelein after being awarded a sponsor exemption.

Also in the field were fellow IJGA and MAJGT alumni: Jordan Hahn (Wisconsin), Pete Kuhl (Wisconsin), Sam Anderson (Wisconsin), and Jackson Wendling (Nebraska).
