The MAJGT is designed for exceptionally talented junior golfers throughout the Midwest ages 12-18 and is nationally recognized by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and American Junior Golf Association with all of its events providing national exposure.

“Bolingbrook Golf Club was in excellent condition and the weather set the players up for great rounds of golf,” said Elisa Hermes, director of the MAJGT. “The winds during the final round definitely increased the difficulty of the course.”

Farnam, who claimed his first MAJGT Open title this weekend, carded three birdies during the final round to finish the round with a 2-under-par 70, to give him a tournament total that was one stroke ahead of the runner-up.

Coming in runner-up was Matthew Clark (2016) of Westchester, Ill., with a 1-under-par 143 two day total. In third was Tyler Vincent (2016) of Lisle, Ill., with a tournament total of 2-over-par 146. Rounding out the top-5 were Cole Kempinski (2016) of North Barrington, Ill., and Jack Vercautren (2018) of Naperville, Ill., both carding a tournament total of 3-over-par 147.

In the Girls Division, Tir took home her second win of the 2016 season. Hot off a win at the MAJGT North Shore Open, Tir held her lead through both rounds, carding seven birdies and 15 pars over the two days.

Rounding out the top-3 were Alyssa Gromala (2017) of Mokena, Ill., and Lauren Beaudreau (2019) of Lemont, Ill., each carding a tournament total of 11-over-par 155.
