IJGA Members,
We have received final confirmation that tournaments are permitted in Illinois during Phase 4. Our staff is very excited to be back in Illinois and we appreciate the golf courses that have hosted the MAJGT in Wisconsin and Indiana on such short notice in the recent weeks.
In order to provide a safe tournament environment for our players and staff, we will be running a condensed schedule for the remainder of the season. The IJGA staff and Board of Directors altered the schedule to include similar amounts of playing opportunities for all ages and skill levels. All qualifiers for the Chick Evans Jr Amateur will be cancelled and more event and invitation criteria will be released next week.
There will be a maximum of two tournaments each day and 90-player maximum field size for each event, with the exception being the Illinois State Junior Amateur. This will also allow an additional full-time staff member to be on site at our events to ensure guidelines and policies are being followed. After running events in Wisconsin and Indiana, we feel this is a comfortable number to adequately abide by the guidelines and policies that we have put forth. We have been working with our host facilities in Illinois over the last week to confirm that they are still able to host our event. We have closed registrations for events and will reopen registration on June 25th at 10:00 AM CST. If you signed up for an event over the last month and are pending approval, we will automatically add you to the field until all spots are full. Please do not cancel yourself out of any events at this time! If you do so, the system will charge you the 15% transaction fee. The IJGA staff will take care of cancelling you out of cancelled events and you will receive a full refund to your account.
