LEMONT, ILL.—The Illinois Junior Golf Association hosted the IJGA-MAJGT Open House for its members yesterday evening at the Midwest Golf House. The purpose of the Open House was to educate new and returning members on the different types of programming offered by the Association. Members and their parents were also able to sit with Association Staff to get one-on-one assistance in creating a customized schedule for the upcoming season.

“We were very pleased with our first venture into an Open House for our members and their parents,” said IJGA director of programming Matt Wennmaker. “In the past we have held clinics, but through this format we were able to give both a general overview of the Association and provide individualized scheduling sessions.”

A general presentation detailing the similarities and differences between the Youth Development Program (ages 8-13), Playing Member Division (ages 14-18), and Mid-American Junior Golf Tour (ages 12-18) was shown followed by division specific breakout sessions. A link to all of the presentations can be found below.

If you would like to know more about the IJGA or would like to speak with a staff member for a customized schedule please contact the Association offices at (630) 857-9806.
